krumlandThe Walker Aviation Museum Foundation is proud to partner with our legacy sponsor, Krumland Auto Group in honoring New Mexico native, Brig. Gen. Kenneth Newton Walker for Gen. Kenneth Newton Walker Day.  On January 13, 1948, Roswell Army Air Field was renamed Walker Air Force Base in honor of General Walker, who was from Cerrillos, New Mexico.

Mr. Rick Dunn, Guest Speaker

Gen. Walker’s son, Doug Walker, will be joining us, as well as Search and Rescue Working Group member, Mr. Rick Dunn.  We will honor Gen. Walker at a banquet in the Roswell Convention and Civic Center.  See below for a complete schedule of events.

We are also VERY excited about getting our very own New Mexico Historic Marker highlighting Walker Air Force Base!  We would like to thank the New Mexico Historic Preservation Division and the New Mexico Department of Transportation for making this possible.
